    Question about Verdi Care

Was trying to find some Verdi Care at Home Depot and they didn't carry it, so I went to Wal Mart and they didn't carry it either.

I was wondering if Tarn X was equivalent to Verdi Care in the way that it won't damage the surface of the coin. Where can I find Verdi Care?

I have quite a few coins that are crudded up and cannot see die markers etc...I understand that it is acceptable among collectors that applying Verdi Care will not damage the coin and decrease the value as other harsh abrasives can.

Thanks in advance for your help

    peace-

Has anyone used it or the other product and had a coin graded by one of the big three and what is the result?

Verdi Care and Tarn-x are TOTALLY different things. Verdi Care works to get rid of verdigris on coins and for the better part will not change the color of your coins. I say "for the better part" because I would not recommend using it on red copper. It tends to leave an unnatural look to red copper, but it works wonders on brown coins.

Tarn-X is a silver tarnish cleaner, and it will completely destroy a Lincoln cent in under a second.

I use it to remove vegetation from coins. It.has never changes the color of a ccoin for me. There might be a dark spot on the coin where the vegetation was at if it got into the coin but I have had great results just read the PDF he has for it. I would recommend it.to anyone

Yea - tarn - x is real bad on copper or anything else - even including silver!
            Obviously I don't like it.

You can PM Badthad and get it directly from him...and he usually sells it on eBay if I remember correctly.
