    coin pictures

Been going through a lot of setups on taking coin pics and a few posts on this site have been great. I also belong to the canon site and wanted to share this guys site for review by anyone. He goes into a lot of detail using simple not expensive to very expensive stuff to take photos and has a lot of great subjects for review. He even has tips how to take pics with backgrounds. Enjoy.

Not bad....you don't need those supports IMO. With a good camera you can take nice pictures freehand. I've never used a tripod or anything for my coin pictures. For me it's all about:

                1) A good macro mode camera with optical zoom.
                2) Lighting
                3) White balance

If you have those going for you, it's easy to take good coin pictures.
