Well, I had my first buying experience with a Craigslist ad yesterday. The guy told me he had 1000 wheats for only $30. Well when we met in the parking lot at a sporting goods store he pulls out a ziplock baggie with around 100 wheats. When I explained to him his ad stated he had 1000. He claimed it must have been a typo on his part. I drove 30 miles for this??? Well, I told him I would give him $2 for the small baggie, and he accepted. Drove my azz back home in disgust, that is untill I started looking through them. I found 4 of these heavily toned 1934, and another RB 1934. All five look to be AU58 or higher. I have already sold one to a poster on another photo and have already made a profit on my purchase. So I guess it did not turn out all that bad. Here is one of them I just posted for sale on eBay.

Wow - I don't know about craigslist For except the stories you here on the nightly news about bad stuff. Any way you made out real good, and don't forget to check them 34's for ddo/ddr's. Some get great $$$!
Cool and congrats

Not knowing too much about AT or NT I would have to make an uneducated guess that it is NT. I would logically think that a AT coin would show some representation of circular or marbled toning and with some hues of orange/reds in the mix.
But, I really don't know much about toning. So I guess my opinion is out the door.

If your opinion is 'out the door', you need to run out there and get it back
Opinions are normally based on some education of the subject. Your opinion is just as important as anyone else who views the coin. AT or NT is not always very easy to distinguish, but based on your statements about circular or marbled toning, you know more about it than you give yourself credit for.Bob Piazza

Well, I must say that this Craigslist deal was not such a bust after all. As I stated in the first post, I gave the guy $2 for the small bag of 100 wheats. Well I sold one to a member of the forum at a decent profit and heck of a good price for him. Then I turned around and sold one on eBay with a three day listing, and boy was I ever surprised. Here is the eBay listing http://http://www.ebay.com/itm/200707930500?ssPageName=STRK:MESOX:IT&_trksid=p398 4.m1559.l2649#ht_1162wt_1396"If Free Speech stops when someone gets offended, it is not really Free Speech."Comment

That's awesome Seal, you stuck your neck out there, paid a relatively fair price and found yourself a winner for your gamble. I think if we all lived in different times, many of us would be either pirates or gold prospectors!
