I recently found a 1984 D with a very low mint mark. Is this a real miss minted penny ??? I have never seen one like this with such a low mint mark. Please let me know if this is a legitimate anomally. Will

All mint marks before 19 ninety's We're done by hand So you'll see a lot of mint marks are all over the place Listen prolly not hold a premium value of the picture my term another wise. I hope you understood this I'm using my text to speech while driving I am not addicted

They are hand placed and fall under the date to the bust to the rim. I've seen lower one before.Richard S. Cooper Some have asked about my images I use, and I'm glad to say I've completed a DVD of these. Ask if you are interested. Newer members like these.Comment

Your coin is normal. You will find Mint marks High/Low/Right/Left. Since these where done by hand they missed there spot a lot of times.Casey ParmanComment
