It took Nerve Thad "BadThad's Stuff"

    BadThad's stuff

I finally after trying it on other LMC (Zinc) got the nerve to try it on a coin of interest and was well pleased with the results. All the doubling seems to have better definition and "NO MORE GREEN"

The photos speak for themself. The green spot sw of C in cent is now just a dark spot which I am ok with. LOL

1 drop 1 minute and a light swab with a cotton cloth and presto.

I actually put it on the coin to soak and then use a toothpick without touching the coin very carefully moving the liquid which loosens the green stuff (verdigras) which then moves away from where it was, causing issue.

Now that is an EXCELLENT conservation and a beautiful coin. A prime example of the best use for VC! It can be done with a very tiny drop and in just a few seconds.

The stain is there to stay, it's caused by the verdigris and it cannot be removed without damaging the surfaces. However, I'd rather have the colorful stain over that a blob of nasty verdigris! Left on the coin, it would eventually completely ruin it. Thanks for sharing the pictures. I really, really enjoy seeing folks results!
