2009 lincoln cents - how many slots needed

    Hi:
I was just day dreaming alittle - I came up with 22 slots needed in my folder for 2009 Lincoln Cents, The breakdown is:

    4 2009-P's reg circulation
    4 2009-D's reg circulation
    4 2009-P's satin finish
    4 2009-D's satin finish
    4 2009-S's clad proof
    1 2009 cooper unc
    1 2009 cooper proof

    Wow!
    Thanks
    Roger

I was thinking the same thing. You know, like with the state quarters.

There are 40 possible combinations. I'm not sure what the mint is planning.

            2009 P Satin Copper/Zinc x 4 reverses
            2009 D Satin Copper/Zinc x 4 reverses
            2009 P BU Copper/Zinc x 4 reverses
            2009 D BU Copper/Zinc x 4 reverses
            2009 S Proof Copper/Zinc x 4 reverses
            2009 P Satin Copper x 4 reverses
            2009 D Satin Copper x 4 reverses
            2009 P BU Copper x 4 reverses
            2009 D BU Copper x 4 reverses
            2009 S Copper Proof x 4 reverses

              Oh my god!
              I agree - I like errors better!
Like the 2009-d phase 1 double die reverse!
              Hmmmm - too much coffee.

I will guarantee you that there will be some Major DDO/DDR's that will come out of all of this. With Schuler presses the most obvious place to start looking at your coins would be from the Center out to the rim on both the Obverse and Reverse. I think it will be real interesting if you can get your hands on the coins.

I will almost bet that they will be hoarded like the 1909's were and 1959's. I am hoping the mint will sell bags and rolls as they did with the State Quarters.

Brad that is some list, (makes me dizzy) (LOL)

Does anyone know the exact date that the First of 4 series of Lincoln Cent Reverses will be released?

                      Where are the releases?

It'd be nice to know where the first coins will be available, because I would like to be there, and have other members do the same at either the P or D mint sites. If a board member got hold of bags and bags, that'd be great for trading. Does anyone have a place they know gets the pennies immediately? We have to get a strategy on this, because I read on another board somewhere they were gangbusters to do the same and share with their members. Anyone on this site have good suggestions on how to order pennies and get them fast or, preferably, FIRST?
Especially, I agree that the DDO and DDR that come out of this will be huge. There will be a gazillion errors, so let's get a plan....chime in, all.

Jeremy I think you are correct on that date. I will try and check with the head cashier at my bank to see if she has any info on release date and also if she can order. My Main Branch for my Bank is in GA and they have to go thru them. It would only be for "P" Boxes.

Legend: I will post my info on the site when I find out something. It may be way too early to find out anything. I'll do my best.

I have Racoons around here and a cat that thinks he is a pitbull. The Moosies are further North however there are pesky Bears on occasion near by. Trade ya a box of 2009's for a Racoon

The cat is Chocolate Point Himalayan, he bites rather than scratches. He instills fear in all who meet him, he owns the house and has all who know him trained to roll out the red carpet for him to get in his good books. He should have been returned to the cage 6 years ago however the psycho is here to stay.
