anyone know why the u.s. mint is not offering it's rolls of 2011p&D and 2012p&d lincolns ?
they are only offering 2010p&d sets. are they that far behind on orders ?
tony
Dunno about the mint's predicament, but you do realize they can be purchased at banks for face value, right? They are the exact same coins. There are other members here who can ship rolls to you at around a dollar per roll (plus shipping) if you cannot find them at your bank.
I only spoke up because I frankly think spending all the extra money to order circulation coin rolls directly from the mint is silly. That's just a personal opinion.

actualy, i am getting most of the rolls i need from other members. and as far as getting them from local banks in my area, that has been a no go. all i get is garbage from them even if i ask for rolls of brand new pennies.

I agree, that is something I always am puzzled about, why so many people buy coins from the mint for 10x + face value, when they can buy them for face value at a bank
Except, our bank does not order any rolls of any new mint coins no matter the denomination. The cannot even do it on request. Do you think it could be that these are only available when the mint's contractors get hold of the new rolls and distribute them according to which bank needs that denomination next?
I keep speculating, and asking, but can never get a straight answer from the authorities.

Hmmmmmmmm......... Well, maybe there is a kind lcr member who could sell you some at face value.... I don't have any right now, or I would. My bank still has Presidential $1 no one took, At least the last time I was there.
Guys, maybe you should take this to the trading post. If youre doing an exchange it's better conducted either through PM or in the sub-forum it belongs in.
