This is one of the most interesting wheat cents I have ever seen. It was being offered on northeastcoin but was sold rather quickly I might add. Thoughts? I would have loved to make this my first big purchase.

WOW! So errors are worth it sometimes. This one is incredible though. Thanks for posting.
Error coins can be very expensive and it was not that surprising that the coin pictured above went for that price. If you are in the mood, take a look at the Heritage Auctions (you will have to register, but it is free) and see the prices realized for error coins. I have provided the link below
I just like coins like this. Though if I ever find a decent DD I may wish I was wearing brown pants. lol I know this is controversial, but it doesn't make sense that DD's merit such premiums where do to poor quality control at the mint many can be struck before being discovered and the cause of the DD is human error. (Poor QC in auto's are called lemons. I don't know anyone who collects those for a premium.) Then you look at a coin like this that is a one of a kind even at $1300 plus, to me it seems cheap. Now the 1913 Liberty Head nickle I think it was that sold for 1.6 million some years back must be like one of 5. That is rare. MD coins are nearly the same, all one of a kind strikes and even in the most extreme cases don't merit any premium. Now mind you I understand that there are a ton of minor MD's. At least they are still worth face value. All this is my personal opinion obviously and my intention isn't to hijack this thread or create a a huge debate, this has been discussed enough as of late so please no COMMENTS!
This is a great idea! I am going to follow all of my posts with this from now on.
edit: oops forgot already... No comments, please.
