Don't swim with coins

This pool water intrigued me so I had to run my own tests. Note the conditions are different than James pool. Mine is a swim spa I use for hydrotherapy.

Temp is 100°f
We use chlorine which was at 1.5 ppm
PH 7.5
I cannot remember what the alkalinity was, but was in normal range.

The coins were in the water for over an hour with me in my pocket.

The first 4 pics are before and the latter 4 are the after pics. There was some improvement but nothing like what James saw with his. Maybe it is the salt filter with the chemical separation of the Sodium and Chlorine. I am most certainly not a chemist and have no idea.

So James you got the water, hmmm, maybe it is the water.... lol

Clearly the spots are cleared almost completely.

This is a before picture, the second is after, this is a zinc coin so maybe the ole coppers won't do.

I will try one tonight.

That is amazing. I used both zincs and coppers. But with the same results, some improvement but not what you are getting. We talk about about a salt filter when we got the tub, but we went the cheap way I guess. Amazing results you are getting though.
