Littleton coin co. 1955 S Unc Cent

I was cleaning out some old boxes of "junk" from my childhood and came across a 1955 S in Unc. condition. It is in a sealed plastic package that is labeled Littleton Coin Co, Littleton NH. I don't remember when or where I got this. I will have to research a little more on them. Any info on them and maybe an idea about the value of this coin? I am slightly educated in grading coins and I would give it a MS-66+ RD. will post pics as soon as I figure it out from my phone.

Littleton is still in business and has been around since the forties. Just Google them and you'll get plenty of info. The 55-S is fairly common in uncirculated condition because it was the last S wheat and saved in quite large numbers. As for value, in the $30 range if it is truly an MS-66 (according to numismedia FMV'S)

And an update as to value..Chris just posted for sale, the 55-S in MS66 slabbed by PCGS for $18...so the numismedia estimate is a bit high.

Hey, I have one of those too. I got it for $0.03 when buying bulk wheat cents. He had some awesome coins, including an AU+/MS 1877 Indian... Sold it for a few thousand. Man did I LOVE getting to see that coin
