Wow, current bid of $16,000.
I would say yes it is a variety ,its a transitional variety but it still wouldnt belong on Coppercoins. You dont see RDV-006s on there. Its info you can easily find on other sites. If your looking for a price, look on the TPG site that its graded at. I dont use Coppercoins for prices anyway, I do my own research to figure out what coins are going for. I use it for listing #sComment

While I agree that the value of this variety can be found with TPG sites and auction realized prices, info on the 1988-D RDV-006 is a bit illusive. As far as Copper Coins, Bob says that there is a plan to add these design varieties in the near future. I use any price guide as a starting point for pricing. I get most of mine from completed auction prices. I am still very excited that this particular coin is doing so well on HA.Wow, current bid of $16,000.

And likewise we have all searched for 1972 Die #4's and PCGS has graded 7 of those Vs. 6 for the 1992 D. That makes the die #4 just as scarce in my book, but not worth $5,000 or more.

I think the the main difference is who is buying. If I had to pick 1972 #4 vs 1992-d cam I would choose the 1992-d cam.
though I still think roger should have given me his 1972 #4 as a bday present.

Went to F.U.N. saw the 1992 D close am...
very nice.. but
Reverse had a light hairline scratch to the left of the E in E pluribus unum...and a dig under the I in America..
Obverse had some what I call minor plating blisters near the date and mint mark...
STILL nice coin...right now at $18,000...Member: Florida State representative for the ANA, Florida state representative for CONECA, F.U.N. and the Ocala Coin ClubComment

What a lot of buyers might not know is there's a handful (5 or more) of uncertified full red examples of this coin out there that show no signs of circulation. There were at least 2 different multiple coin finds from BU rolls. They'll hit the market one day.Chris & Charity Welch- LIVEANDIEVARIETIES
