    Proof Coins

    What can be done...

Proof Coin - Nice Cameo, unique variety, surface haze on one area of coin.. lint fibers scattered around frm being in a paper 2x2 flip...

Is there any way to remove debris without damaging surface or leaving any trace of fibers, etc....

You could try distilled water for the fibers. Maybe some compressed air, if you are careful. But any attempt to remove the haze could alter the coin in an undesirable way.

I use (carefully) canned air to remove debris, distilled water or acetone is fine too. The haze is there to stay, I've never seen it successfully removed without surface damage.
