Stage 3 makes sense.
What is PC-3 ???

All google searches point to this holdered coin and its various sales only. PC-3 is on the PCGS website as a Province of Canada for Canadian coins. Maybe it's a mistake? Maybe the submitter sent in a bunch of Canadian coins simultaneously, and there was a paperwork mistake? It makes sense to suggest a 3rd stage...but who lists die stages by number? They are always by alphabetic character...

Agree with Jason...I have seen PC-3 listed under the variety heading on a PCGS chart for Canadian coins...I just cannot find it again.Comment

I don't understand these past prices. This is like a $75-150 coin. I wonder if collectors are just not confusing it with the rarer 1101. And then these things get misattributed because of the die markers...so some of these slabbed coins are not even right.

Many know this is my favorite coin! I've got price's from heritage where a 64rd went for over $1700.00. If you check out variety vista, this ddo has the first reverse design, for the V.D.B. Making this arguably the first D.D.O. in the Lincoln series. As for fs-1102 population, last i tried to count i found about 415 between p.c.g.s and anacs. That's not alot to go around. They are readily availible raw with a little looking.

Whatever it means its always on them FS-1102 cents. I seen them sell on heritage. Probably a way of listing it that PCGS came up with..Comment

Good Morning Greg,
Thank you for contacting PCGS Customer Service.
Initially, PCGS was going to use our own numbers for Varieties, for instance the PC-3 number. We no longer use these numbers.
If you have further questions or concerns, please contact PCGS Customer Service by email: info@pcgs.com or by phone: 1-800-447-8848.
My Best Regards,
Corbin Jung

They must not have used those numbers for long, because I have never seen them before.Comment

interesting how they would shake up their labelling guidelines then switch again so quickly.
also they never did specify (yet) what PC or the 3 represented:confused:
