I recently picked up about 1,000 wheats from a local shop. As I started going through them I quickly noticed a fair amount of them had crud on them... is there an acceptable method to rinse all the crap off of all of them? So they can be looked at. Nothing worse than picking up coins that have gunk packed inside the devices...

As Dennis said, Acetone is fantastic. I've also have good results with Goo gone, but that was specifically for gummy type stuff that was just caked on really really bad. Best wishes!

Let em soak in 100% acetone for about 10-15 minutes. I usually take them out one at a time and go over them a couple of times on each side with a q-tip soaked in acetone. Then pat them dry with a paper towel."If Free Speech stops when someone gets offended, it is not really Free Speech."Comment
