I finally found my battery charger for my camera. I found this coin to be interesting. I've posted a similar one to this on a 2011 cent but not on multiple bars/letters. At that time there was not much research on shield cents.
I can only assume that is is either a form of isolated machine doubling or it's a minor doubled die. It would make sense to me in comparison to the memorial doubled column ddr's, however I am not someone to say so. With that, I will leave it open for discussion and reasons why you feel as such.
As a side note, the 'doubling' is strong under the 'N' in UNUM and then as you move away from it it becomes weaker and weaker until it's no longer visible.
I'm interested to see your analysis whether you're an expert or not! Have fun with it.

It's kind of funny that i'll look at all 2012 cents I come across but i've yet to touch my box of 2012D cents I got from bank of America.
