What do you guys think of this of this one. It sort of has the look of a MM variety but also has that MD look to me as well. Sorry if I put this one the wrong thread, didn't know exactly where to put it. Thanks for the comments. Paul

    It is machine doubling.

On machine doubling you can see where the devices are reduced by the doubling. Because of movement during the strike. The doubling it creates is actually damage to the coin.

On a doubled die the devices are enlarged from the hubbing process.

Richard S. Cooper Some have asked about my images I use, and I'm glad to say I've completed a DVD of these. Ask if you are interested. Newer members like these.

Md is correct...and remember that there are no RPMs after 1989.

You are correct Roger that RPM's don't occur after 89 but they are included as DDO's if they are doubled along with other devices. For instance the 1995D-1DO-001 and 005 and others.

There are some of these years that prove frustrating to many as you look at the MD on the mm on this cent looks no different than some of the rpm's of the late 80's. Actually the mm on this cent looks better than many on the 80's rpms. lol

That's right Paul....I was just correcting the term "MM variety"...it could be a DDO though.

In fact, I do...and our road crew gave me three big truckloads of ground up asphalt so I paved the gravel lane I use for turning around my boats....and I did under the boat sheds too....plus my buddy's Harley shop driveway and parking lot.....I just came in from enclosing the cab for winter use....just give me some dirt or snow and watch out

Man kids with toys! What a kick, it sounds like a blast to me and what a deal on the material you got too. Sounds like the price was right. I can tell that the snow will not have a chance this winter!
