I wouldn't bet they are breaking collections, however they are looking in every nook and cranny for loose change even at Grandma and Grandma's house to help pay the bills and put food on the table.
I live in a small town here (Normally 2,700 people) and in the mountains. The unemployment rate here is 11.7% as of the 15th of Jan 09. I get at least one wheat penny almost every week in change from the stores.
Another excellent find and to your benifit that someone is spending the old wheaties and it goes for a good cause YOUR COLLECTION!!!!!!!! (LOL)
