    Blank penny

Is a blank penny worth anything besides a penny?

    Moved to the appropriate section.

Yes, blank planchets can be worth some premium. I bought one off of ebay for about $2.
    My old coin album.

It also depends on condition and whether it is copper or plated zinc (you have to weigh the planchet). There is also what is called a type 1 and type 2. Basically a blank without proto-rims from the upset mill, a type 1; and with proto-rims, a planchet, type 2.

It looks to be copper, and it looks like it has proto-rims, whatever they are. I don't know much about sending pictures, so I have to rely on explaining what I have until I figure out how to send pictures. Thanks for the info.
