My Thread about 1960 sm. date over leg. date was cut off?

    So,
I started a thread here asking about a 1960 lincoln business strike that appears to be a small date over a large date. I was looking for a discussion about the coins attributes and posted some photos. A few members posted responses, not all saying flat out no it's not. Then, all of a sudden the thread is locked out, for a while I'm locked out of posting on my own thread.

What the heck is going on here?? I'm sure this thread will get me locked out again, but hey, so what if you can't have a discussion and exchange ideas here.

Got a great discussion going on about the coin at a competitors forum.
    Actual details, information and discussion.

Why don't you just PM the mod that locked it? I'm sure they had reason for what they did. But if you prefer, I'm sure this can be hashed out publicly.

For the record, I didn't see great information or a great discussion. There were direct answers to your question (no, it's not an overdate) and educated members trying to clarify and explain your misunderstanding. Then another newer member came along and muddied the waters, confusing anyone who doesn't know better.

I think Jcuve is who locked it, and I support his choice. There was nothing beneficial to anyone going on in the discussion.

It wasn't a small date over large date, and there was no valid speculation along those lines.

You've both just made my case.
The guy with a different opinion or perspective "muddied the waters"? How, because it wasn't your opinion?

DIE VARIETIES ARE NOT A MATTER OF OPINION!!!

It's all fact- either a fact that it IS or it IS NOT. There is no "I think it's a doubled die". It is or it is not. Yours was not. Nothing more to discuss.

NOBODY agreed with you. You were the only one making the argument, eventually its a pointless discussion. When you are new to the hobby you always think you have the next great find, and maybe sometimes you will, but this time you were told over and over again by some of the leading experts in the field and just continued to argue, I was glad to see it locked.

It's not opinion; it's fact. Big difference. In the world of varieties, a coin either is or is not. They are not democratically elected to the post, nor are they wished into existence. They are based upon the observation of objective facts. I'll post a picture of a copper cent and claim that it is composed of gold. If I can get someone to speculate that it might be, will you buy it as such? There is no opinion here.

                Then stop joining the thread.
You said your peace. Do you always cut everyone else off from any discussion here if you don't like it?

You posted it on CU. Bob (watersport) told you to post it here. For a reson, mind you. You are no expert in this. You were told exactly what it is,and what it isn't, and shown photos for your referance. You don't believe them, fine. Then you have a small date over large. Congrates it's a great find!!! See you win!!

                    Considered anger management classes?

It not the facts that I have any trouble with, it the "little kingdom" attitude here.
One of your own here, at another forum disagrees with you and actually has questions.

Send your coin to PGCS. If it is what you belive it is, it will be worth the cost. If not, it will be a good learning experience for you. Either way you win.

I've heard enough. Mimild, you were given FACTS about your coin, from numismatic professionals. People did flat say "no, it is not". In fact, that was the very first response, by a very knowledgable member. There were even examples posted of the actual doubled die posted by the community, and yours looked NOTHING like the actual doubled die. If that isn't proof enough for you, I don't know what is.
