I think at this point it is between you and that site Sean. Thank you very much for the buyer beware, but there is nothing that we can do for you here at LCR.
Auction Site Shows No Integrity

So with Chris' line of thought, all of the threads on LCR that speak about eBay allowing folks to pass off damaged coins as rare errors or varieties are going to make LCR liable? I do not buy that."If Free Speech stops when someone gets offended, it is not really Free Speech."Comment

I understand that Bob. I was just warning everyone. Then Simon had questions in which I answered. Just beware when you deal with these small online auction sites. There are a ton of them out there."If Free Speech stops when someone gets offended, it is not really Free Speech."Comment

And most of them are probably run by individuals like me or you. An auction site script is fairly cheap to buy. Common sense says to stay away from them.
The /whois lookup on the domain shows it registered to an individual, any threats made, by my guess are a scare tactic. Anyone with a legal team behind them would have their /whois info protected and not be using a hotmail address, or his home address for their contact info.
Edit: I see Brad was smart enough to protect his /whois info. Smart Man!
And after using wensy's info to google maps his house, I think its about time I got myself a PO Box. So thank you for starting this thread, it got me to do something I should have done long ago.Last edited by Antiquity; 02-06-2013, 09:34 AM.THOMAS J.

I have been a buyer on Wensy for several years and have had no problems. I did report a seller who was listing coins he did not have (he was using photos from another website and I recognized one of the coins). Administrators removed his listings. That was about a year ago.Comment

And now the plot thickens. I finally got a package from the seller, over three weeks from when I made payment. Inside, instead of 6 rolls of cents (2)69S, (2)70S, and (2) 72P, I got three rolls: (2) 72P & (1) 69S and the handwritten note which I have attached. These three rolls did not even have the ends taped up, so the coins were all over the inside of this small flat rate box. This is without a doubt the worst online auction experience I have ever had. Thanks Wensy.Attached Files"If Free Speech stops when someone gets offended, it is not really Free Speech."Comment

Amazing. So he's selling coins he doesn't even have.“What can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence.”Comment

Is the story closed, or is this just another chapter of what's to come?Chris & Charity Welch- LIVEANDIEVARIETIES

Maybe I'm not undertsanding, but all of this is all having to do with the difference of like, $4 right? A couple of circulated rolls? I think you could have made $100 using your time buying and selling coins. I know, it's the priniple of the matter, right?Chris & Charity Welch- LIVEANDIEVARIETIES
