Perfect Solution for Shipping Bulk Cents

I have come across the perfect solution for shipping bulk cents. It does not matter if you are shipping rolls or loose cents in bulk. This idea will help insure you package arrives with every coin intact. First get you shipping box ready. Second place a Food Saver bag inside of the box and fill with rolls of loose coins. Finally use the vacuum powered Food Saver to pull all the air out and seal your coins in a vacuum pack that fits inside of your shipping box. These bags are quite sturdy, due to the fact they are made for freezing. This will eliminate the sounds of loose coin coming from your box. It will also help hold the coins together in the rough ride with postal service. I also feel it adds a nice professional look to your packaging skills. Anyway, I just thought I would share.

Wonder if that'd work in a 1 ton copper cent crate. Would be fun to try.

Thanks for sharing! Love when good people share best practices. Just makes the world a better place for all.

Here is a photo of what 15 pounds of wheat cents look like sealed in a Food Saver bag. The coins are separated into 3 pound baggies with a zip top. Wrapped around with package tape twice to keep it shut. Then all five baggies in on Food Saver bag cut to length to fit in a medium Priority flat rate box. I lined the box with bubble wrap. Then poured a layer of packing peanuts. I placed this sealed bag on top of the peanuts, and filled around and on top with peanuts until box was filled tightly. I then placed a layer of bubble wrap over the top. Laid my invoice and website business card on top. Then sealed the top of the box with 7 strips of tape. Should be good for it's journey from Texas to California. Hope some of you try this. Oh and the Food Saver works great with food too.
