Found this cent in my latest wheat hoard acquisition. How wild is that?

Took a hit causing it to split/separate that way?? Doesn't look like a secondary S. But I'm not an expert on MM or other for that matter. Just testing my nerves to comment. But it does look like a hit.

agree it is most likely a hit. In hand it looks a lot like a second S.

Looks like a big hit to the middle of the MM, causing half of it to move south.
