    The 1971-P was a good year for ‘Hairy Backs”.
    I think this is a good example of a worn die, collar, or hub.

    I think this would be a polished die imho... the polishing "cuts" small groves in the die that end up as raised lines on the coins....1983 are notorious for them on the rev.

      Must of been a full moon that night (werewolf). But yeah thats common.
