Which Cherry Pickers Guide to get??

I'm looking at getting a Cherry Pickers Guide. I have searched around several online venues and see there are a few different editions. Normally I would just go for the newest version but I figured I would ask if there is a better edition to get. I have never opened one so I have no idea if they have any other information in them. I just want to make sure I get the correct thing.

    Thank you for any info.

I would suggest Fourth Edition, Volume 1

I'd think it would be best to go with current edition, as things get delisted others added from time to time.

Hmmm...Thank you for all the input. Another question. For the guides...do they have any special sections pertaining to a specific topic from one guide to another? For example. Here in Canada we have the Charlton's Guide to Canadian Coins. It is a yearly publication and has been so for many years. In each edition...they do a segment on one particular part of the hobby. One year it was all about the 1859 Large cents as there are so many different varieties. Another edition discussed the pre 1921 nickels (known as "Fishscales"). Each year is something different. Does the Cherry Pickers guide have anything like that that? Just curious.

No, the CPG is updated every 3-5 years. And the newest edition is similar to the previous with additional listings. I'd strongly recommend the latest editions, even though they run a few bucks more.

I've got CPG edition 5 volume 1 and 2, and enjoy them both greatly.

OK...thank you all for the info. I will look into getting the newest edition then. I wonder if the bookstore in this town carries it. I highly doubt it. I will most likely have to order it online. Any recommendations for a good online source for ordering books?

Be sure you get the volume you want.
Volume one is half cent, 1C, 2C, 3C and 5C, volume 2 is bigger coins.

Since I only really primarily search cents I only wanted the volume with cents.

Amazon I find is usually the best, but I remember looking one up for a member here a while back and found someone listing new ones on ebay for about 10 bucks cheaper than amazon, so you might check there first.
