This is a service I would use as well. I've got plenty of coins that I would gladly send in right now. I also think that a certification service that is devoted to lincoln cent varieties will help in promoting the hobby.

I would certainly use this for some of the more valuable varieties that I have found.YN with a Lincoln Obsession! Check out my eCrater site
Yes, the boxes in my avatar are all full. No, I'm not finished searching them yet.Comment

I think PCGS started out this way, I've seen coins in the sealed flips from when David Hall was getting started

I've always thought that some TPG should make mini slabs for small cents only. Make them so they lock together so you can arrange a sheet like for display and include anything in the set that you want included. The slabs could be really small, made only to fit small cents.
Might be neat just for attributions, for me grading is secondary but I see no harm in a grade being included.Last edited by GrumpyEd; 08-15-2013, 10:42 PM.Comment

That is something I would defiantly use. I am in the process now of setting up a website to sell coins, and want to stick to selling mainly graded coins, thus my earlier question on which TPG would use the Coppercoins variety numbers. So YES, I would most defiantly take advantage of it.
I have often wondered why someone hadn't come up with an idea of having a grading service, just for copper coins and specialize in the varieties. Love your idea.Comment
