    Joke of the Day

Bought this one for my kiddo, so he'd keep his grubby paws off of my coins. I just can't decide which one bumped this one up to PR70, the gnarly thumbprint on the obverse or the verdi-booger on the reverse. Either way, ain't she a beaut'?

I wonder what the SGS facility looks like...
I'm seeing a dingy back room somewhere. There sits the grader at a cheap fold out table, cigarette hanging out of his mouth. A stack of coins on one side, Salami sandwich on the other.

Grader? If it's shiny it's a 70, no grading there.

What would really be funny would be to make up a "SGS Photo-Grade".

Some of their coins are really nice and good hole fillers but never pay for the graded price. I cherried a few nickel DDRs from these styrofoam slabs. Mostly coins from bu rolls. Nowhere near the ms70 they put on everything

If they are going to call it a 70, why not go for the UCAM designation too?

I think it should have graded PR151RRDCWFP

Translation = Proof 151 really really deep cameo with finger print

I hope you didn't spend too much on it Josh since it was for the Kiddo. Does he like it now that he has one of his own?

Nah, it was just a couple of bucks. He saw right through my ploy, after a quick glance at it he was right back to "lemme see the big ones" (NGC+PCGS) Kid may have a future in the coin business.

I was pretty much betting on some of you understanding the 151 grade scale

There is SOME value in these holders occasionally- a buddy of mine cherried an uncirculated 44-D/S in one for 25 cents... I paid him $225.00.
