i went through them all, all die states, and a few looked similar, but the MM placement was off.

I added the image links into the thread for you. Use the yellow icon of a mountain and sun, drop those links in there.

Not sure. It is a minor RPM, the ding is not helping with the upper serif - even if it were strong enough, it won't be #45 with a big ding like that.

I never knew a ding would keep it out...but it sounds like he has multiples.

If the ding or wear possibly obscures needed information for attribution, typically an attributer won't list it.

sorry about that. i cursed myself when i realized i wasted everyone's time because i took pics the one dinged example. here is one without a ding that i tried to enhance through photobucket filters. I think it could be die damage, but not sure.

on another note, does anyone else get an "unknown element" error on coppercoins? everytime i use the date guide or die variety search, i can only get to the first page of the given year/variety type i'm searching for. after the first five examples on the first page, i get a 404 when i click the link for page 2 or if i click next.

You may have missed it, but on numerous occasions, I have asked people NOT to search through the date guide. Perform all your searches from here please:

We have also been in the middle of building a complete new site. (coppercoins v3.0) That information is on the home page as well as our Facebook page. I hope this helps you out in your coppercoins searches.

i figured it out. it is a later die state of 1957D-1MM-028. http://coppercoins.com/lincoln/diest...&die_state=mds the only difference is the filled 5(why i assume LDS).
