Interesting to know the area, I know that I've searched tons on 92-D cents out here and found none so they certainly weren't released out west.

I still remember years ago seeing you put one on ebay and wondering about the listing, I think you later got it slabbed and then listed another. I was wondering "how did he find it" LOL....

Yea, it was funny when I was talking to a pcgs employee. I got the feeling he suspected I had a role of em and was releasing them slowly so not to crash market. lol

Don't feel bad. I've looked at thousands of 88s and cant seem to find a transitional. Found somewhere around 15 1999 wams though

Strangely, I have John. I know of one that was found in Missouri, one in Ohio, one in Ottawa, Canada (by a searcher going through a brick for the first time ever) and one Tacoma, Washington. Seems to me there were at least one or two others from the Eastern half of the US. I've thought how it was strange that more weren't found in the Western half of the country.

That's great! Can you imagine how many hands this coin must've been through before one person (YOU) noticed it was worth a couple thousand dollars?

Yes, a lot of things had to line up and happen just right for it to end up in my hand, 1 of the few in my state who even knows it exists.

Congrats! Simply amazing find....and even more amazing to find that many. I have searched thousands of the 92's with nothing found.
