There is a listing for another doubled ear for 1997 that isn't 1DO-001. There is no cross references listed either. Does anyone know anything about this? Is it just a gouge or legit doubled die? Thanks.

I shot an email to Dr. Allen. He's a busy guy but always responds. I'm not aware of any other attribution system that lists the coin. I'll let you know what I hear back.Chris & Charity Welch- LIVEANDIEVARIETIES

Dr. Allen got back to me today, this was his response:
"Chris,
I do not know of any cross references for this variety."Chris & Charity Welch- LIVEANDIEVARIETIES

Yeah Dennis, not that the '84 #2 doesn't cause it's own confusion, but there's also a secondary '97 Doubled ear listed in the book.
I'm going to get to work finding an '88 Doubled Ear #2!Chris & Charity Welch- LIVEANDIEVARIETIES
