The new, big 2014 ddo sold on ebay for a pittance..

I was kind of shocked to see this variety sold for a mere $60 on the below ebay auction:

Hey, I know it probably only cost the seller a cent originally, but when you factor in time spent searching, shipping cost, ebay listing fees, paypal, etc. How much are you really making??

About what I would pay probably, put it in a slab with an MS65RD or better label and I bet it would have fetched a lot more.

Does anyone know of finds other than the one Jim posted here?

Some collectors say it has to have an FS # before the big bucks can be requested.

It's low if it turns out to be a scarce one.
$60 is ok if someone finds a brick with a few hundred and manages to get $50-60 each for $10,000 total.
If a bunch go on the market they will drop fast in the short term, that's probably why some finders are quick to sell.

The long term price depends on a lot of things, how many are found and how much attention it gets.

You're assuming that this one is not Jim's.

I do not think it is mine... The one I sent to Jason was going to others for view and pics... I don't think anyone has sold it!!!

Wiles just finished with Jim's, so I am pretty sure it's not his.

I too expected it to go for more money. Maybe slightly better pics would have helped. Usually the first example of a bigger DDO goes for more. eBay sales seem soft in general right now.
