Apparently the old coin reporting page is no longer sending reports to the normal eBay rep. I am hearing that no one is reading them. Which explains why my last four reports went nowhere. The rep messaged some of the regular reporters, including me, and let us know that she is no longer doing coin and stamps. I am told: "Only reports sent from the listing page will reach an ebay representative." This is not a good thing. Just another obstacle on ebay. I have someone using one my photos and will test out the report tool on the page itself.

I received a personal email from Judith. She is done after 7 years. I won't post the entire thing here but the key bit is this >> "Your reports are being automatically sent to a different tool to be reviewed and actioned. You will no longer receive responses to your reports and since I will no longer be reviewing them, I doubt that any action will be taken."Comment

I have tried reporting numerous item via the link on each item and have never seen a single item responded to. They even stole my picture and I reported it both via phone AND on the item and absolutely nothing happened and the same lister did it again with no response again. Here is the entire memo;
Hello Regular Reporters,
After 7 years I will no longer be working coin and stamp reports. I want to make you aware of a change that has occurred to the coin reporting process. Your reports are being automatically sent to a different tool to be reviewed and actioned. You will no longer receive responses to your reports and since I will no longer be reviewing them, I doubt that any action will be taken. Only reports sent from the listing page will reach an ebay representative. I fought against these changes but without success.
It has been a great pleasure working with all of you over the years and I sincerely appreciate the time and energy you spent helping the ebay site be a better place to buy and sell coins, currency and stamps. I didn't want you to think I just disappeared. I loved what I did and felt we all were making a difference, no matter how great or small. I will miss working with you.
Again, thank you gentlemen.
Very Best Regards,
Judith StairComment

I got the same email. She sent out to a lot of people it seems. I was hesitant to post the whole thing as I didn't want to find out she shouldn't have sent out an email to so many users. Anyway, I am lost as to how to report anything at this point except a coin that is not slabbed using terms only a slabbed coin should carry (like a raw coin saying it is MS66 in the title or description).
Before, I could have sent this blurry 1972 in to Judith. Now, I am not sure. Will the only option from the drop down menu that sort of fits work...will anyone will act on it? Why isn't there a field to write in the problem?!?!
I see:
-> Prohibited and restricted items
-> Stamps, currency and coins
-> Uncertified coins
And the listing using my photo? Again, there's no specific option for stolen photos from outside eBay. Is -> Other currency and stamp concerns going to work? Again, there is no place to type in the problem or provide a link to my photo on maddieclashes.com. If the intellectual property rights option would work (see HERE), I guess that may or may not cover it. Seems like a hassle if it is.

Intellectual property seems like the correct avenue to pursue.Comment

-> Uncertified coins
-> The listing has uncertified or raw coins that include a numeric grade, references to a grading company or price guide, an estimate of value, or a misleading or stock photo.
As for your copyright, there is also
-> Copyright and trademark
-> Image or text copied from your listing
-> Copied pictures or text
Problem is that I have never seen that link to accomplish anything.Comment

Guys... I have to agree, it seems that eBay has thrown in the towel in some regards. At this point, isn't reporting an item kind of like using a thimble to bail water out of the Titanic?Chris & Charity Welch- LIVEANDIEVARIETIES

On another "hobby" site i used to post on a lot, people would use a burner account to bid up counterfeit BMX parts that Ebay would refuse to remove. they would bid a $300 part up to $3000, and just never pay for it, thus pretty much preventing a sale.Comment

They actually seem to be removing reports, but it sure is a pane reporting them one at a time.Comment
