    1969D Weak/No FG

Is there a listing for this cent or is this something that wouldn't get listed as a variety/error.

No FG cents are the result of die abrasion or a struck through filled die. As noted, there is a listing for a 1969, but this occurs on other dates too. The listing has helped them to sell for a premium.
All opinions expressed are not necessarily shared by willbrooks or his affiliates. Taking them may result in serious side effects. Results may vary. Offer not valid in New Jersey.

It would also be necessary for the entire device to be missing. Weak won't cut it.

Yea. I finally found the thread on this subject. Mine in barely visible but as you stated that won't cut it. I'll still put pics up tomorrow.

Are the 69 D's a result of the initials being omitted, or is it a grease fill?

I believe it was mentioned that it's a result of die abrasion.

Missed that. thanks. I could have sworn I read somewhere that one year the designers initials were omitted from a die for some reason. maybe it wasn't a lincoln.

actually, I think it was a no mintmark dime I was confusing with a lincoln with no designer initials.

Here are the pictures of my 1969D. It's just a weak FG. You can still see remnants of the initials. However I did notice while taking pictures that the small top of the memorial is not connected to the bottom part. Not sure what caused this.

the tops of the memorial build sometimes "disappears" like the FG due to die abasion

I would take your coin to a show where ANACS, NGC, PCGS are at and ask if it would be listed as FS-901... the no FG
I think it has a chance
