Dishonest dealer at coin show Parsons,Kansas

Went to a coin show yesterday in Parsons,Kansas and man was i ripped off..I bought 30 rolls of wheat cents from a dealer saying they were all in nice shape,,yes i know i should have opened some of them up to look but when i got home i opened 5 rolls to look at and they had to be the WORSE wheats i ever seen and i mean everyone of them, they were so corroded,,but the kicker is that they were so shiny like he soaked them in oil or something..I took all the coins (1500) out of the rolls and took them to the park down the road and threw them all in the field so the metal detector people could find them...hahahahhaah....Wait until i see that dealer again he is going to get a ear full and not nice words either..This is what about 80% of them looked like they are MS 67 right..I will never buy rolls again without opening them up first..Yes it's my fault for buying..

Maybe instead of throwing them away you should have saved them till you saw him again . I may be wrong, but it also sounds like you have something against metal detectorist. I happen to be one and if I'm wrong I apologize.

IMHO The dealer needs to know about them....every one of them.

                I'm a cheapskate.
I would have still searched them and spent the uglies at face value if I couldn't return them.

I do hope some detectorists have fun gathering them up

It might just help the next time, ask if a person will let you open a roll up. If he says no then be wise and not buy. If he lets you open and see's what you describe he will question the person he bought from.
