    1909s vdb

Beside upgrading some of my wheat cents as opportunities arise,
this is the last coin I needed for my official wheat cent collection.
It arrived in this morning's express mail.
    Thank You,
    Jean

Want to trade for an hours worth of time thru the back door of the mint? (LOL)

Really nice Jean and a very nice addition for your collection.

Thank You Very Much all you nice LCR'ers!

Yep Lestrrr, I might have gone out with a bang, and got what I wanted... but it took my entire allowance for a few months. Oh well, gotta suffer sometimes.
Nah, Joe, I will stick with this coin for awhile. Gee, I hardly got use to it yet.
Roger, Dave and Bob... gee, just don't know what to say but, Thanks!

                That ebay thing again

                A 1909S VDB being auctioned.

I hope this link works because I want everyone to see something here that is odd.
I know the Red Book (2008) has lots of unrealistic prices for almost any coin(s), but the coin on this auction is surpassing Red Books expectations in a big way.

Be sure to check the bidding pattern. It sort of cracked me up. Is this something like 'shill bidding?'. Someone runs the price up, then up, then up again. The last time bringing the price to a somewhat sensible level for the grade. Now it is being bid on at a grade rate almost as high as my coin's grade.

Not too high according to PCGS Price Guide ...

They are paying for authenticity as well as the plastic...

This is making me appreciate my coin even more! If that one can go at XF prices, then mine might go at AU prices. Excuse me while a catch my breath........
