    Doubled die listings question.

I was wondering about the values and selling of certain doubled dies. I have some doubled dies that are only listed in Wexlers and wondering on roundabout if they are just as desired if coppercoins feel to minor???? 2012 WDDR-002 and 2013 WDDR-003. Usually a shield DDR sell from 25-75 a piece but them 2 not sure roundabout values. Has anybody sold one of them 2 yet? Does it hurt the value of coins whereas between Wexler and coppercoins?
Life is not about greatness but on the impact of good onto others. It is a matter of how much one shines. Explains why I like shiny coins.

Check completed auctions to get an idea of value. Guides can always list a value, but only sales can provide true value.

I don't think it's going to matter with varieties such as these whether is Wexler or CC. You say the value is 25 to 75, but I'm not sure if you are talking about dollars or cents. Unfortunately you're probably going to be closer to cents with either of these varieties regardless of where they're listed. I'm exaggerating slightly because you could probably get a couple of bucks for them, but I am being realistic. I remember when I first started collecting I thought I was going to get the listed value(whether it be Wexler or coppercoins) for every minor RPM or doubled die that I came across and I soon learned the harsh lesson that the market significantly disagreed with both me and the price guides.

I think 25-75 is optimistic, there are some 2011 and 2013 shield DDRs that have sold for decent prices but in general I think the market is pretty thin for minor or less well known varieties especially now. It gets worse once the market gets saturated with any variety. I'm sure there are many examples of them selling for decent prices, I'm just saying it's probably best to assume that prices drop exponentially beyond the first few sold so past sales might not reflect the price you can get today.
I consider dollar values for well known varieties but I consider most that aren't well known to be neat but don't assume any specific dollar value. Beyond that the only way to place a real value on one is put it up for auction and see what it brings.
