Does the Copper coins site give info on markers for authenticity for Lincoln cents?
Not sure, never used it for that. I have a great book published by pcgs that i use for that.
Found page from google books that may have helped you but my phone is being fickle and won't let me give you the link.
So sad ... My reverse consumption engine was a broken fuel gauge ... gonna look at coins now. John
If you go to counterfeit Thread Will started above in General discussion there is a 1914 D there. cc does but I lost the link.
...Actually I just threw out the 14-D as an example. I really am looking for some place that would offer the markers to authenticate Lincolns like the 31-S or 09-S-VDB etc. I guess I'm asking for the great book that may be used by the TPG's...

You know what? That's a great idea. I'll start on that book right now. I'll let you know when it's done! I agree with you that it would be dumb to do all of that research myself and not capitalize on it.
All opinions expressed are not necessarily shared by willbrooks or his affiliates. Taking them may result in serious side effects. Results may vary. Offer not valid in New Jersey.

Coppercoins does not give markers for authenticating Lincoln cents. We deal with varieties at this point only. However, it is something Chuck and I have discussed when the new coppercoins finally gets released. It is definitely something we will consider.

For 14-Ds CDs book has some info and a pic of a 44-D shaved to look like a 14-D.
The PCGS counterfeit detection book has some good info on checking 14-Ds.
The easy things to look for are the style of the D and it has a unique center shape.
Some (but not all) real 14-Ds have a nice die crack from bust to rim west of the date.
Other than that verify that they don't have a VDB on the shoulder and compare mintmark locations to known good ones but there are multiple dies and I don't know of a link for a full list of the real locations.
