    1909 s vdb

Here is a 1909 S VDB that is in a collection that my grandpa gave me. Can somebody give me a rough estimate on what the grade of this coin will be? Sorry I will try to get a picture of the reverse side tomorrow. Thanks, Josh

Update: I just bought a 10mp Kodak Camera tonight here is the first two pictures I took of it. Can anybody have any ideas on how to get better pictures? Thanks

We would need to see the back also. By the looks of the Obv ( by the pix) I would say around a F10

You would really want to slide back the plastic to show the details

        Hey Josh,
The reason we want to see the back is because the quality of the wheat ears help determine the overall grade of the coin in most cases. What kind of camera are you using? If the camera has a macro mode then you need to use that for shooting your pictures. The plastic in these kind of books can cause a cloudiness and glare so one cannot see the coin in all its glory. Sliding the plastic away will likely get you better results.
Other than that, it is a rather nice coin and can be a real expensive one to buy for a set of wheat cents... as was the one I just purchased to complete my album.

I think that it is in the area for F-VF and probably $1100-$1300 based on the pics.
