Hello again everyone,
I found this coin a while ago. It exhibits some of the most extreme machine tripling that I have seen to date. I hope my pictures point out just how much the MD (or in this case MT - LOL), cuts into the devices (especially on the mint mark), thereby reducing the overall thickness. The overall profile is there, but it has been cut into twice by the MD, thereby leaving two, separate flat "shelves." I think this coin is worth keeping just because its such an obvious example of the phenomena, even though I hate machine doubling in general. Happy searching everyone and thanks for looking!!
