Just wondering why folks don't use blogs? I would love to read blogs from our members and experts! There's a lot of knowledge and interesting things in stories! Most of us will never get the rare opportunity to sit down and talk to these people and this could be the next best thing. Since I have never used a blog, can people comment back or ask questions?

onecent1909 - John, I found your blogs but I could not figure out how to comment. After I clicked on "comment" there was not a place to type a comment. Thank you for your help! I think if more people were aware of how to use blogs, they would use them. It would be nice to have blogs about the upcoming FUN show and what is going on there! -
What's a "blog?"
lol.All opinions expressed are not necessarily shared by willbrooks or his affiliates. Taking them may result in serious side effects. Results may vary. Offer not valid in New Jersey.Comment

As far as why more people don't write blogs....Because they don't want to, it is totally optional

Will... a blog is a "weB LOG" of anything you want to write about made public on the world wide web. I know you and Roger are picking on me, but I would love to read your blogs! Jim has my back, as usual, and I would love to read his blogs too! Some members have been using the blog to document their finds, I have been reading those and think that is cool. I just wish we had more bloggers

Hey Viv...I wasn't picking on you at all...I'm totally serious.
To me...it's like asking "Why doesn't everybody keep a diary?" or "Why doesn't everybody like Lincoln Cents?" I know I'm happy posting my finds and opinions on the forum for all to see.

Okay Roger, thank you for explaining and really I was just kinda joking back with you because I know for some people "blogging" is like doing something boring like paperwork, paying bills, etc. But... since blogs are sometimes "personal" in nature... I thought it would be cool for people and our experts to write a blog about how they became involved in Lincoln Cents, etc. There is a lot of coolness about story time and a lot of cool people around here that have cool stories to tell. So all in all, blogs could be a cool way of keeping people informed about things that are going on.Comment

Yes Blogs are more personal however most people just put up threads in the off topic section
I have 2 or 3 blogs... I have not really read to many blogs as I am looking at threads
I have posted threads on my son turning 18... him going to college.... me at the fun show...
me at trivia.. me being elected as secretary of my local coin club... coins I found... exhibits... all kind of things
I think most people just use the threads to post about finds, and personal life combined
I have seen birthday threads... coin find threads... well you know... all kinds of threads
I felt no one wanted to click on me personally... then click on my blog..
just to read.. what went on at FUN..
When they can just look at new threads and decide if they want to look at FUN show activities
When I started I thought the idea of blogging finds would be cool...
but now I think the threads are the best way for me..
I will be doing a FUN Show thread or two this year.
FUN show is in my old stomping grounds.... Tampa
2017 Fun is at Fort Lauderdale and the ANA Nation Money Show in March is in Orlando
I will be there to and posting on itMember: Florida State representative for the ANA, Florida state representative for CONECA, F.U.N. and the Ocala Coin ClubComment
