I recently realized how significant this RPM is. It is the only inverted mintmark over an inverted repunch. CONECA puts this one at URS 1 in MS! It was an eBay cherrypick of course. I stayed away from it for a while because it looked lIke it was pretty heavy with spots, but was pretty pleased when it showed up. The seller was
Found this beauty in a brick tonight. I didn't see this one listed on COC. Searched the web and found only one reference to it. It was in a sold listing on EBay from Dec 4th.
I did very little searching this last year, but I found this flawless 1987, which pcgs proceeded to screw me with a 67 grade. Not a single mark on this coin.
I bought it back and it is in my collection, so at least I get to enjoy its beauty.

Wow..I agree Will.. They did that too me on a beautiful 1982 zinc LD that IMO was an nicer than their 68 shown and the same die but they got me with a 66
Went back to the Pensacola show today. This is another cherry from yet another local dealer who thinks "You Variety Guys" are crazy! I bargained him below Greysheet for this coin after his comment. I would've paid retail! :xd:
I didn't do a whole lot of searching in 2015 but I even though I found quite a few doubled dies....nothing stands out as memorable....not even sure I posted any
