Just a reminder that you should always verify your coins are the variety on the label.

I almost purchased this coin from another seller, as I have been looking for a 1950-s RPM-15 for a while. It was listed at $12.99 BIN so I figured what the heck it's a nice grade. Decided to check if it sold before and realized the mint mark location doesn't match up. I don't know what variety it is but it definitely is not RPM-15.

Personally I own coins mislabeled in ICG, PCGS, and ANACS holders (both white and yellow). I've seen an NGC holder mislabeled as well though I don't own one so no one is immune.

The way that ANACS generally designates CONECA is with plain old RPM and no zeros in front of the number, i.e. RPM-15 or RPM-9. They would put WRPM-015 and WRPM-009 or 1MM-015 and 1MM-009 for Wexler or coppercoins respectively.

Didn't know that...thanks ! I always put the Coppercoins designation on my submissions and never gave it a second thought

They all have made mistakes in the past and will do in the future. Good suggestion to double check.

I actually saw that coin a week or so ago & came to the same conclusion. It's definitely not the one labeled.

This is why I always tell folks to buy the coin not the holder. If the seller cannot get a close up, then you take that risk.
