    Silver Melt Value

    So if I had random, old, beat up, silver dimes and quarters I wanted to off load somewhere ebay, Pawn shop, etc... where would you take them and how much would you expect to get for them? Thanks!

    My guess is you'll get the most on Ebay because it's a retail market. A pawn shop or dealer is going to give you less than melt value.

      These are what it's worth but you'll probably get a bit less selling or a lot less depending how and where you sell it.

      If you're doing it in your head:

      .7 x face x silver price
      (assuming $19 as the price)
      $1 in 90% coins, 1 x .7 x $19 = $13.30
      (you'll get a slightly low price because the right multiplier is slightly above .7 but use .7 if doing a rough estimate)
