I love me some crappy Ebay pics !!

Sellers crappy pics for a 1953 Proof with a BIN of $25.

Unbeknown to me, it arrives in a Capitol Plastic cent holder.

I gambled and won because it IS what I was hoping only a heck of lot better. In fact, I hope it grades PR 67 to upgrade my current example of FS-402.

What a score! That's amazing! Way to put your skills to work. That coin will grade high for sure, but please let us know the final outcome!

It will be a while before I send it in - like maybe February? But I will keep you posted.

In the capitol holder it looks like it has green stuff on the front of his vest, then it's gone in the bigger pics.

              It's not the DDO....
              Is it the re-engraved die?
Can you fill us in on what it is?
And how you could see it in the sellers pics?

Correct Ed it is the Re Engraved Die FS-402. It runs from the bottom of the front bust up to just under the 9 in the date. I could see the "line" in the original ebay picture was in the right spot and right length. I also emailed the seller and asked him about the "green" on the rev. He said it was "reflection" - so I took a chance.
