    2016 D

I have been working on boxes I picked up 2 years ago. I was back logged so I stopped picking up at my usual scheduled banks for 2 years. Today I picked up a circulated box so I could start looking for some of those nice 2016 doubled dies. I am seeing a lot of Denver mint 2016 mixed in. I am guessing they got shipped directly to my area. I can't imagine they circulated hear that quickly. Anyone else from the Rochester, NY area notice this?

Not that it matters, just a curiosity...

Someone may have ordered a box from someone across country and kept the best then dumped the rest. I know dealers that do that quite often to have coins to sell to customers.

The rolling outfits roll what they get as they get it. Most modern unc boxes are solid but once in a while you get a mix and one 2016 box recently had about 75% Ds and the rest Ps and about a dozen older cents including a lone 56-D. Even picked up 100 rolls of 80 Ds from a dealer that didn't want them and when searching they were mixed about 30% Ps. You never know until you search, they aren't rolled by date or MM.
