I am curious if anyone is sealing in acrylic, lamination or whatever, the zinc pennies that are currently in amazing states of deterioration? I can see no harm in doing this since otherwise, their fate is certain. Any thoughts or 411?
Is anyone putting epic zinc errors in suspended animation?

And that is through the thick acrylic? I would think as long as the acrylic doesn't get scratched up, the coin would be easily visible. I would much rather hand down Zinc Variety cents preserved this way in a nice pouch to my kids, than what I am afraid they will look like in a few years.Comment

2x2 squares and no thicker than a flip, with an airgap surround in case it needed cutting out... I wouldn't mind DIY superglue not included.Comment

i suppose one could justify a vacation to Egypt or Arizona to entomb them in very arid conditions. The solid suspension like the acrylic trinket would pretty much seal one though...........Comment

$ounds like a product that would have a huge and profitable market...... I'd $tep right up if I weren't focu$ing on other thing$.
I can even see better high end pieces being entombed in Gorilla Glass IV or even saphire bonded with UV curing glue. Two or three pieces to get the job done.Comment
