    Copper salts

    This cent has come in contact with some element that has created salt crystals on surface, just good fun to look at under the scope.

    Never seen anything like that uglycent! That is very cool looking! All of the ones I see look like powdered sugar

        Looks like good `ol Copper Sulfate!

        I would get buildups of this on my copper wire electrodes that I used in my tank capacitor for my Tesla coil. Being immersed in saturated salt water, the current sped up the process of creating it a LOT. Had to clean it off all the time!

          Looks like those blue copper sulfate crystals you can buy to clean your drains.
