I would expect it, storage can slow it down but eventually they will change.
Maybe the best storage and luck can almost freeze them for our lifetime if we are lucky but not forever.

Thank you Ed! So over time if the color does change, it would probably be just as pretty, just different. I have a few toners, not as nice as John's, I haven't looked at them in a while. I'll check and see if they have changed any.
So toning is the start of the process known as oxidation, just beautiful and uneven?
Not sure if it is the beginning of oxidation or not... When oxidized copper turns a green color, bronze turns brown and brass a reddish color... Hope that helps a bit!!!
