Hello Ernest! You have a normal 1974D large date. Even though it looks thick, especially on the nine of the date, it's not a doubled die. That is the normal place for the VDB on Lincoln Memorial cents. Sorry... I know it's frustrating but just keep searching Lincoln's and asking questions! It takes time to learn all of this! You will get there! -
VDB was on the reverse of some of the 1909 cents.
From 1910-1917 there is no VDB on them.
From 1918 on they all have it on the bust unless it was polished away on the die.Comment
