    Christmas wish

My Christmas wish is to find the next 1982-D small-date copper. I will be weighing all my small-date Ds over the next week. As I was going to bed last night and purging the nightstand box of coins I saved for one reason or another, one of the '82 small-date Ds felt awfully heavy for zinc. Merry Christmas, LC Forum. May you all find something nice, joyous, and lucrative this season!!!

        That would be sweet.
How many pounds of the small date D's do you have?

Oh, and don't forget to get your oplatek, kielbasa, and oyster stew, at least for any of you Polish traditionalists!

Oh, I don't know. A few. You can feel the difference in your hand between a copper and a zinc, generally speaking. Also, the look is of zinc coins is different than the copper, especially if you see those gas bubbles, diagnostic of zincolns. I saw a couple late '80s copper error coins on a site recently, which seems an almost unfathomable error coin, so I'm going to be weighing a lot of coins on the off chance I run into one of those. I said roll hunting is tedious in a previous post, but this is really about the thrill of the hunt. It is tedious, to be sure, but it's soooo much fun to find something cool. Hope my neck doesn't get too sore. There are worse problems, I guess.

When you see those bubbles you know that Abe had beans for breakfast

Got my fresh, shucked oysters today. Kielbasa (which simply means sausage in Polish) and oplatek is from the Polish deli. Can't wait to eat! Thanks, VAB2013!

You're welcome Polish Prince! Sounds like it's gonna be delicious! That's awesome you are Polish and your wife is Italian, some really great meals coming out of that kitchen! My friends, two of the families are pure Italian and one is like you and your wife, Dad is Polish and Mom is Italian. Best food I've ever eaten and they love to cook huge quantities and invite everybody over! My kind of folks!
