              70s sm date

I too thought I had a 70s small date but no matter how long I looked at it and wanted it to be a small date the 9 didn't look right. The only difference in mine is the s is a little more north than yours. Hopefully we will find one sooner or later.

i didnt buy the coin in a pcgs holder, i found it crh and sent it to pcgs as a LD variety fs-101 pcgs#37997, but it came back as a SD. i had only been collecting for about 6 months at the time and it was my 1st time to send any off for grading. i have 1970 s small dates. i have a proof for sale on ebay for $20 right now. its got scratches and wasnt handled properly in the past, but its safe now. what should i do about this coin in the pcgs holder thats all jacked up.

You can ask them to re-holder it in the proper slab. It also is not an FS-101 which is the MAJOR DDO. (it is not even close).

I personally wouldn't have submitted it as that variety when it is obviously not. It was and is a waste of time and money. In this case, If you did submit it as a Large Date FS101 and it came back as this coin, then I would cut my losses at this point. However, you do deserve an accurate label if it was paid for.
